Cover Reveal!!!

Hello Readers and Writers!

I’m so pleased to announce that my second novel is almost ready for release! Barring any disasters or unforeseen circumstances, I’m planning on a launch date of November 1, 2021.

Where Shall I Flee? takes place in the Italian theater of World War II. I’ll be sharing more updates on the story and historical background as the release date approaches.

For today, however, I’m excited to share the beautiful cover designed by the lovely and talented Amanda Ruehle. I hope you like it as much as I do!

    1. Thank you!
YES. Photo finding is a massive rabbit hole. My cover designer and I kind of work together, in that I try to find good photos to give her ideas and she puts it all together and edits it and makes it look good. I looked through hundreds (if not thousands…) of WWII stock photos and different sites. There were a few nurses, but most were in the wrong style uniform or were…ahem, rather naughty, which is not the tone of this book!
I was so happy when we found this one, though she still needed her hair color adjusted (so glad Amanda could do that!) and her rank changed- she had 2 bars on her shoulders at first. And, of course, she wouldn’t be dressed quite so nicely when she’s on the beach head- but we’re just going to figure that this picture was taken before going underway! 😀

  1. I like that the cover is monochromatic except for her face, hair, hands … her person really pops, so she seems real and relatable, but the sepia-tone aspect and WWII uniform set her back in time. She looks tough but vulnerable. That makes me want to read about her : )
